HELP FIND A HOME FOR YOUR LGBT CENTER

Gay Inside Out, Bellingham's LGBT Community Resource Center serving Whatcom County, is in need of a community space where we can "BE".

This building will be the center of events, programs & services, resources, allied organizations, and community leaders and activists.

In order to successfully provide our current and proposed programs and services, we need a settled location, and we need your support.

Gay Inside Out’s vision is that all gay, lesbian, transgender, gender variant, bisexual people and allies ("LGBTQA ...") residing, working or visiting in Whatcom County have available to them a safe, secure, supportive, and visible community resource center that provides educational, recreational, and social networking opportunities and programs that promote growth, improve quality of life, and that increase this population’s potential to contribute to the local economy – “to level the playing field”.

Transgender Medical Project Manager Needed

The Bellingham LGBT Center is developing a program to address the mental and physical health needs of transgender individuals in Whatcom County.
We need:

A Medical Doctor: to lead and chair the planning committee for this program. This individual must be separate from presenters.
Presenters: to address the gaps in medical care for transgender and gender variant patients who need the best physical and mental healthcare. Presenters are also needed to provide sensitivity training.
Medical Doctors who are interested in presenting. These might be endocrinologists, plastic surgeons or other MDs with knowledge and experience in treating transgender patients.
A pharmacist.
A psychotherapist, counselor, psychiatrist or psychologist with experience in treating transgender and gender variant patients.
